Are playing at 1800 on Friday at 12 Tonar. A bunch of other bands are playing there too. And there’s free espresso while you shop? Sold! I have no idea how we missed this place last year. (An extended case of the lames I’m afraid.)
A walk down music festival memory lane recalls the time a few years ago we saw a very young Joss Stone play at Waterloo Records in Austin at SXSW, live from atop the CD racks. She wasn’t a star then, and was very impressive. If you’re ever in Austin, Waterloo is a must stop, because there is a great ice cream store (Amy’s) just around the corner.
